On Halloween day, the Isai clan got together for breakfast at Storytime Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel at Downtown Disney. We were all there to celebrate Ruxandra's new job! Congrats Auntie Rux. I'm not a big Halloween person at all...but since I did have a ladybug costume from her first birthday, I figured she can be a cute little bug again for breakfast at Disney.
Here are the Isai's waiting in the lobby for our party to arrive. Sorry, Charlie...but this one is more about me and daddy. Our first Disney character coming to visit our table. First off, I feel bad at not even knowing who this character was. I know it's not Baloo from Jungle Book---so who are you? Big Brown Bear is what they tell me he's called---(yeah I could have guessed that myself!) I guess it's time to start brushing up on my Disney films. Now here's a squirrel I recognize. Dale...yes, I'm sure it's Dale cause he has the red nose and the gap in his teeth. Charlotte had a love hate relationship with him...she seems a tad frightened here.Oh but wait...now she's reaching out to him.Okay no...he's too close to her now!Okay...he can pat my head. Now I will hold your hand.Afterward, Landon and Luke played outside with her.
Oh look it's a lady bug and LandigiSuch a sweet little girl...always making time to stop and smell the flowers!

Ditch day at the beach...

So the other day, I was just about to get up and get ready for work and my sweet, amazing and wonderful husband says, "Do you really have to go to work today? I really want to take my 2 favorite girls somewhere fun today." That's all I needed to hear to make a call in and say, "I'm taking a day off." That entire weekend I was away at a women's retreat and I didn't get a chance to spend any family time with Raresh and Charlotte so it was a perfect idea. We decided to go to the beach and have a picnic. Before we left I decided to put Charlotte on her brand new potty to see if she would go. AND SHE DID!!! On Monday, October 19th by sweet baby went pee on the potty. Talk about a perfect day to play hookie and go celebrate. She hasn't peed in it since...but hey...it's a start.

We packed a picnic and drove down to Crystal Cove Park in Laguna and spent a wonderful day together. Great idea honey. Any time you want me to stay home...JUST SAY THE WORD!!!

Camping at Canyon Lake, Az.

This past weekend the Isai's headed to Arizona to camp with some of Raresh's buddies from the base. It was a blast. It was actually way to short. I can't believe I was ready for more---considering the bathrooms were outhouses and the showers were miles away. But the 3 days and 2 nights we were there was loads of fun.

Here are a few pictures.
Our home away from home. (Master bedroom and nursery)

Feeding the ducks with my precious baby.

New day...new outfit.

Oooo how fun...I get to ride in the boat!Playing in the tent. All packed up and ready to leave. Stopped at a cute little ghost town. The Isai's

On our way home...dirty...tired...and still smiling.
Now for some random memories about Charlotte.

Whenever she sees Auntie Rachel she starts doing Patty Cake. This is something Auntie Rachel does with her quite often and now...Charlotte immediately starts clapping her hands when she sees Rachel.
She also calls Rachel Bubbles...because she always blows bubbles with her gum. We really think, Charlotte thinks that's Rachel's name.
She learned out to "blow it up" this past weekend. Basically...when someone gives her high five she does it. Now..when you show her a fist...she makes a fist and hits your fist. I'll get a video soon.
She randomly yells..."Coo Coo"
She loves to get people to chase her.
Oh my little pumpkin...she's so much fun!

First Haircut

So little Charlie needed her bands cut. Here is a quick video of Auntie Jo trimming her bangs.

The best part of the video is the fact that my nephew Ryan---just loves cameras and was dying to perform. So after Joanne tells him no, he still manages to find a way to say what he needs to say.

Funny.

Here she is admiring her new "look"

Labor Day weekend fun

I had 4 days off for Labor Day. It was soooo nice. Friday was the only day that Raresh had off---so we packed up the kiddo and went to Temecula. It was a very short trip but it was just what I needed. A nice drive with my favorite husband and daughter!

Later that night I met the gals for BUNCO (New Orleans style) and I won 35 bucks for most games won! Woo hoo!

The rest of the weekend Raresh had to work...so as always...I stayed busy. On Saturday, we went to my mom's house for some family time. We had some cousins visiting from Canada. I got a few shots of Charlie with Spencer and Amanda. By the time the other kids arrived...I was over picture taking!

Sunday, after a wonderful morning at church. I went to the Alberico's house warming party. They have a beautiful home and we felt so welcomed there! It was also fun meeting up with the original "mother hens" Gina and Lori...and watching our kids play together...in the ice bucket mostly...

Charlie and Emma

Charlie, Emma, and Dominic at the ice buckets...Diaper babies...they were filthy after playing in the ice buckets. Then lastly...on Monday, we headed over to Andrei and Ligi's for BBQ, pool, and my favorite BOARD GAMES. Once the board games began...the pictures stopped...so this is my only photo of Charlie, Addisen, and Spencer.

Taco Taco...the music video

Okay so this little kid of mine is such a character. She's got the Vlad performance gene in her for sure---but guess who's a little camera shy?? It drives me bonkers. The minute I hit record---silence from my little entertainer!

So with some coaxing and prompting...I got a little of the Taco Taco I mentioned the other day.

Oh and pardon all the movement going on. She doesn't sit still anymore.

Taco Taco

I have no pictures to post---just something I want to capture in writing. Charlie has been saying taco for about 2 weeks. Since she's never had a taco---we knew she was trying to say something else. We listened carefully to how she used the word and we deduced that she's saying. "Thank you" It was so cute because you'd give her something and she'd say, "Taco". Well, the other day I was singing Twinkle Twinkle little star to distract her while I was changing her... and she looks back and me and starts singing..."taco taco and then the jibberish begins" So today marks the first day that my daugther picked her favorite song. Twinkle Twinkle little star...or should I say "Taco Taco al alas taddal amaad"

Then I realized Twinkle and Thank you...do sound somewhat similar so she probably was saying Thank you. Perhaps she was saying, Taco for singing taco taco alsdfalsdf (jibberish begins)

She's funny.

Time for the park & a visit with family

It's been a long time since I've posted anything new. It's so tough to keep up with the blog now a days. We have so many ways of sharing pictures (i.e Facebook)...that my poor Charlotte's web gets neglected. But here are a few shots from our trip to the new park by our home.

Riding in style with Daddy.

We also spent some time with Buna Susy, Ezra, and Addisen. It is so fun to play with Ezra. He's such a smart kiddo. We played the hot and cold game for a good 45 minutes. For those of you who are living in a cave and have never played the hot/cold game---this is how it goes. You take an object (in this case it was a tiny red car) and one of you hides it. The other person has to try and find it by your clues of yelling, "hot or cold". The best part was how creative Ezra got in hiding the car and then of course his clues. "You're boiling...boiling and...You're so frozen!" I loved it. That kept him entertained for a long time---while Charlie and Addie spent time with Grandma.

It's been a while...and guess who's talking

I know it's been a long time since I've added any photos of Charlotte. Here are a few from our visit at our new and FREE water park 15 minutes a way by foot.

She was a little fearful at first but then she got very brave and I couldn't keep her away from all the cool sprinklers. She loved it.

After the water park fun....Charlie was in a very talkative mood.

Life has been super busy but we've all been enjoying the long summer days and trying to soak up all the free time we have with family time.
